DESCRIPTION:Come and celebrate Christingle with us! \nSt John’s of Hatherleigh invite you to come and celebrate one of the most favourite services in the church’s calender\, the Church of England Children’s Society Christingle service.  Celebrated each December\, Christingles are oranges wrapped in red tape\, decorated with dried fruit or sweets\, with a candle on the top. Each item has a special meaning: \n\nThe orange represents the world\nThe red ribbon/tape represents the love and blood of Christ\nThe sweets and dried fruit represents all of God’s creations\nThe lit candle represents Jesus’s light in the world\, bringing hope to people living in darkness\n\nA warm welcome awaits you! \n
