Youth and Children
We believe our children are our present as well as our future and value them as integral members of our community. Children are welcome at all our church services [we don’t mind a bit of mess and noise!] and a table near the front is always stocked with some craft, games and treats to keep them amused through the ‘boring bits’. Helpers* are always at hand to keep them occupied or encourage them to join in where appropriate.
We also run a number of specific activities for our young people.
We would like to express our gratitude to Hatherleigh Co-op and local community for supporting the ongoing work of the Youth Café with a generous £3,000 donation.

Youth Café
A new venture run in the ‘Old Schools’ building in Hatherleigh Square, every Thursday evening.
Completely free for ages 13-18, this includes, hot and cold food, table top games, pool table and Wii, but mostly, fun and friendship in a safe, nurturing environment overseen by our fully trained and vetted team* drawn from Hatherleigh’s three churches.
Sunday Club
Crafts, games, music and treats and a chance to learn a little each time about God’s story and His love for them.
Family Services
Although children are welcome at all services and a table of crafts and treats are always set out, in this one we try to make an extra point of making the message clear to all ages while still including enough depth for the mature believer.
You can expect contemporary music from the band, craft, games and goodies for the children and maybe a gimmick or two and a short children’s talk.
There may occasionally be a Baptism in this service.
Big Story Club
Is an after school club which runs term time on a Tuesday afternoon in Hatherleigh primary school. Fun, games, treats and an insight into God’s involvement in His world.
