As part of the recent restoration and re-ordering work at St John’s Church’s, the entrance vestibule has been adapted to have glass panels installed and the timbers have been refinished. This work has been expertly carried out by local joiner Mark Wonnacott of MNW Timber Solutions.
The traditional timber and glass construction of the vestibule aims to make the church more welcoming to visitors and regular users of the church. Not only does it make the church a more comfortable space by reducing draughts, but the addition of the new glass panels now allows natural light to flood the space and offers a welcoming clear view into the church upon arrival.
This addition enhances the church’s hospitality, ensuring a warm and inviting entrance for all who visit.
Our Thanks

We would like to extend our thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund for funding this project, and to Mark Wonnacott of MNW Timber Solutions in Hatherleigh for his skillful work in adapting the existing entrance vestibule.
